I’m actually having a difficult time in quarantine right now. Like many other people in the hospitality industry, I unfortunately am now on unemployment. Since the world is in a middle of a pandemic no one is really hiring in this field. I’ve applied to many places but the outcome hasn’t been great. Thank god for the stimulus check so I at least have rent and a couple of other bills paid. Although, I am worried about the upcoming months. How long will this last? What if I can’t pay my bills? What if someone I know gets sick?
I’m so unsure of everything right now….
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE! I missed having free time like this, it kinda reminds me of summer vacation! In truth, before quarantine I felt extremely over worked and burnt out. I had just moved to Los Angeles in September for cake decorating school. and for a brand new start for my career. Turns out moving out here was more overwhelming than I thought it would be. Now I can just lay around relaxing and when I do bake/decorate I can take my time. I missed that a lot!
So with that being said, I’ve decided to be more productive in getting back into my brand The Sweet Proposal! I created this site to share my experiences in the culinary world. I’m in this for better or for worse!
