What you will need for cake:

How make the Cake:

  1. Pre heat the oven to 350 degrees
  2. Follow the directions to the cake mixes
  3. Set aside one of  bowls of chocolate batter
  4. Mix in 1/2 cup of vanilla batter into the second bowl of chocolate cake batters to make a light brown color. Then set aside.
  5. To get a dark green cake, put at least 5 drops of green food coloring into the smaller amount of the vanilla batter

  7. Using the Wilton square cake pan, divide the cake batters in a random pattern to achieve a pixel affect

For this cake this was my first attempt using the frozen  buttercream transfer technique. The frozen  buttercream technique is a great method for transferring any image to the top of a buttercream cake. If you can trace, then you can make one!  This technique is great for beginners who want a complicated design with little experience.

What you will need for Minecraft frozen buttercream transfer:

  • Martha’s Stewart Swiss Merigune recipe
  • Green and black food coloring
  • 4 Piping bags or plastic baggies
  • Minecraft printables
